2008 Campaign to help Argentine homeless children
During the month of October and November 2008 we are raising funds to aid the Argentine children who live under bridges. Caina is an organization who helps these children. If you want to help, please click above to donate.
Asociación Civil “Los Chicos de la Calle” is a volunteer cooperative to supplement the jobs provided by C.A.I.N.A. by providing the children with training, food and shelter as well as the infrastructure to keep the children focused and alive. CAINA is a center whose missión is to care for the homeless children of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Most of these children live and work on the streets so CAINA homes between 40 and 60 children on a daily basis, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner a change of clothes and a warm bath. The non-profit also offers these children the opportunty to learn cultural, educational and recreational skills needed to survive. CAINA works with a group of proffessionals whose goal is to support thier primary rights as children. Through providing a foundadtion, basic needs, social skills, and training CAINA and Asociación Civil “Los Chicos de la Calle” are trying to help these children get out of the streets and back into society and specialized homes. The government does not cover for the totality of their needs, or the needs of Caina, which is why we need sponsors.

Any help you provide to make these activites possible will help these children to learn skills that will get them off of the street and back into soceity. Diana volunteers her time aiding the homeless children in Argentina, most of these kids ages 5-20 live in the streets and are HIV positive. There is an organization called CAINA and they help the kids by giving them a place to take a shower, change their clothes, wash the used clothes, give them new ones. They also feed the children and teach them a skill. The Association works with more than 300 children between the ages of 7 and 21 who are trying to make the transition from living on the street to a better life.
