Help us Build  the Lha Bab stupa at Crimo Village in Mon Tawan. India.--

Venerable Thubten Rinpoche from Gaden Jangtse Monastery, one of my elder Teachers requested me to help build a Stupa and raise funds to buy an ambulance in the Crimo Village of Mon Tawan. Rinpoche envisions that the total cost will be around $50, 000 and we need to finish building by the end of 2011

There are about 10,000 people in the immediate area of Crimo village, and if you extend across to Tawang and other areas there would be more. The people of the village gave this land to Venerable Thubten  Rinpoche and he feels that it would be of the most benefit to build a stupa here. This whole area used to be Tibetan territory. It is located near the place where the 6th Dalai Lama was born.

It is high up in the mountains and the nearest clinic with basic medical supplies is in Tawang, several hours drive. If somebody is acutely ill then the nearest hospital service would be in Guwahati-- a 2-day drive. An ambulance car containing life-support equipment and basic medicines would help people through small problems or transport them to an appropriate facility in an emergency. It could periodically be re-supplied through the clinic in Tawang as necessary.

The significance of the Lha Bab stupa is that the next Future Buddha will come and see it and come to that place and be on our earth. So we are making that stupa for the future dharma connection. People can circumambulate the stupa. There are problems with China contesting the border in that region and it will help stabilize the area. People who flee from Tibet to the east will see it as they come over the mountains. It will hold the 6th Dalai Lama's blessing through his connection to that area. Tour groups can go there, and through the pristine views of the Himalayas and the pure fresh elements they can understand and experience the feeling of being in a Pure Land. Fresh snows, clean water, barley, rice and corn grown without pesticides, the mountain views and the clear air all serve to provide inspiration that rests the mind. Those who support this stupa will bring benefits for human beings, the earth and world peace.

There is also room on this land where facilities for caretakers can be built and an extra area where modest tourist rooms can be planned for later.
