Energy healing and hands-on healing have become more and more popular over the past 20 years or so! Everything, including our bodies, is energy – you may have heard this energy referred to as Chi, Ki, Prana, Life Force, etc. Our bodies have energy centers, or chakras, that are constantly spinning. If your chakras are closed or not taking in energy, you may feel tired, tense, stressed, or sick . . . but if they are too open, you may feel dizzy or lightheaded, or be extra-sensitive emotionally. The goal is to have chakras that are balanced, or aligned, and take in enough energy to help you move forward along your soul’s path.
So what is the difference between Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy®?
Reiki is a Japanese technique of energy healing, stress reduction, and relaxation. The word "Reiki" is actually made up of two words – Rei (meaning God or Higher Source) and Ki (meaning life force energy). When a Reiki practitioner lays his or her hands on the client's body, they channel positive, healing energy through their hands, which essentially breaks up the negative energy that is affecting that client's body or energy field . . . and allows their life force energy to flow more naturally. It never causes harm, and the practitioner's energy is never depleted after doing a session.
Integrated Energy Therapy® is a hands-on healing technique that uses the nine Healing Angels of the Energy Field to get the "issues out of your tissues"! When the IET® practitioner lays his or her hands on the client's body, they connect to the violet angelic energy ray to work with their 12-strand spiritual DNA, and clear issues on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level. Like Reiki, it never causes harm, and the practitioner only works from an overflow of energy, so they are never depleted after doing an IET® session.
Reiki and IET® compliment one another very well, and often find myself using both during a session. All you have to do is show up to the table, and relax. Soft music will play in the background, and you can either talk during the session, or just rest and take in the energy.
For thousands of years, the eastern medical philosophies have focused upon the electromagnetic energy field of the body for healing. The energy field within the body has been known by a myriad of names over the centuries such as “chi”, “Ki”, “prana”, “Innate Intelligence”, “love”, “the force”, “Qi” or the “tao”. All of these words are mere interpretations of the same energy force that flows through each and every person on this earth and which eastern medical philosophies have used to bring about health and balance to their patients for thousands of years. IET uses the meridians as well as other aspects of the body to assist others in their healing.
The Tibetans and Chinese discovered five thousand years ago that this energy passed through the body in pathways similar to arteries (but without arterial walls) known as meridians. These meridians carry life force energy to nourish each organ and it is important to keep the flow of life force energy open to maintain good health at all times. We also have channels that balance the energy between the meridians and in IET we also work with the channels to re-balance the meridians whenever they need it.
As we go through life, some of the energy in the meridians can become restricted due to blockages caused by physical, emotional or chemical trauma done to the body. This can be due to surgery, disease, exhaustion, suppressed feelings, stress, fears, self-limiting thoughts and karma as well as many other things.
IET actually works with a certain divine angelic energy ray to access and correct your 12-Strand Spiritual DNA. Interestingly enough, IET works on the violet wave level of vibrations which is quite different from Reiki which works on a much lower vibrational level. As a result, the work is much lighter and more subtle than Reiki. The IET practitioner initially accesses the Universal Life Force energy by using a “heart-link” from the practitioner’s own heart to the angelic realm, thus opening a channel for healing love to flow through the heart and then into the hands which have been directed at the integration points on the client being worked on. The practitioner uses their connection with the angelic realm to access what the underlying problem is for the person being worked on and may call upon certain angels for guidance or assistance in relieving specific issues.
Once the negative aspect has been drawn out and cleared, the practitioner replaces it with a positive aspect related to that spot so that there is no void left and balance is restored. Thus, the life force energy can once again flow easily through the meridians and health is restored to the person.
